When setting up your product detail page, adhere to the following specifications:
-
Descriptions and Keywords: Use printable ASCII characters (Hex 20 to 7E) for descriptions and keywords. Avoid using HTML, JavaScript, or other types of code, except line breaks (</br>) in the description.
-
Content Restrictions: Ensure your content is appropriate and professional. Don't include any offensive or obscene material, external contact information, alternative ordering or shipping information, promotional material, or any information violating any law of the marketplace country.
-
Product Accuracy: The products must be accurately categorized and described, and the titles, descriptions, and bullet points should be clearly written. The maximum title length, including spaces, should not exceed 200 characters.
-
New Products or Versions: Create new detail pages for new products or versions, and avoid creating duplicate pages for an existing product.
-
Variations and Brands: Make valid variations related to the primary product, and if selling under a different trademark, create a new Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) instead of modifying the existing one.
-
Language: Product detail information must be in the local language of the specific Amazon store.
2. Policies for Writing Listings
As per Amazon's guidelines, misuse of the page creation tools is strictly prohibited. Do not list any prohibited content, restricted products, or inaccurate categorizations. If the product comes with additional items that are essential to its function, this must be stated on the product detail page. Do not include any inappropriate or promotional content.
3. Adding and Editing Product Details
You cannot use false product identification information, cross-promote products, or use detail pages to list more than one product. If you choose to re-brand a product, you must create a new ASIN rather than update an existing one. If you believe that the brand or manufacturer name on an existing ASIN is incorrect, please contact Selling Partner Support with proof and request a new ASIN creation.
