Here are the requirements to start selling on Amazon:

  1. Registered with a professional seller account.

  2. A business email address or an Amazon customer account.

  3. A credit card that can be charged (international cards are also accepted).

  4. A valid passport or ID. Identity verification is essential to ensure the safety of both sellers and customers.

  5. Business registration details, including a VAT number.

  6. GS1 codes for the products.

  7. Brand registration.

Image Requirements:

  • At least 85% of the image must be of the product itself.

  • Only the product should be in the photo, with minimal or no additional elements.

  • The image should accurately represent the product.

  • Recommended dimensions are 1000 pixels or more to enable the zoom function (which boosts sales).

  • Minimum dimensions are 500 pixels in either width or height.

  • JPEG format is preferred, but TIFF and GIF are also accepted.

  • Main images should have a pure white background.

Important Considerations for Product Listings:

  • A product identifier such as GTIN, UPC, ISBN, or EAN is required to specify the exact product you are selling. You can request a UPC code directly from GS1, or apply for an exemption if eligible.

  • A SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is a self-created product identifier to manage your own inventory.

  • Offer details, including price, product condition, available stock, and shipping options.

  • Product details, such as name, brand, category, description, and images.

  • Keywords and search terms to help buyers find your product.
